Vadodara: It seems some students at M S University campus are turning into serial ‘copycats’ or ‘cheaters’. Members of the unfair means committee which recommends action against students who indulge in unfair means during their exams were shocked when they noticed this.
The committee, which has started checking cases of students who were either caught cheating or following other misconducts during the recently concluded exams, have come across 165 cases.
Of the total 165 cases of students, the committee has come across 13 such students, who earlier too were caught copying or cheating during exams.
Sources in the committee suggests that the 13 students, who names have surfaced again, had also faced punitive action from the university after they were caught copying but such action has hardly deterred them from not adopting unfair means in the exams again.
Most of these students are from Faculty of Commerce and Faculty of Arts and they were caught copying by the vigilance squad during the recent exams.
The committee will now recommend the next course of action that the university needs to take against such students. The final decision will be taken by the university’s syndicate body based on the recommendations made by the committee.
