Woman ends life, husband booked

Rajkot: A woman committed suicide due to the alleged harassment by her husband in Moti Lakhani village of Jamnagar taluka on Thursday.
Police on Thursday night booked Pradyumansinh Jadeja (33) on the complaint of Lakshmansinh Mahida (54), the father of the deceased, identified as Shwetaba Jadeja.
“Shwetaba committed self-immolation at her residence. In his complaint, Mahida alleged that Pradyumansinh used to beat up his daughter after getting drunk, tired of which she decided to end her life,” said an official from Panchkoshi A division police station of Jamnagar.
“We have registered the case and will arrest Pradyumansinh soon,” added the official.
