CM to visit NTPC Ramagundam today

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao would be visiting NTPC Ramagundam in the district on Saturday to inspect the progress of the Telangana Super Thermal power project (TSTPP) Phase I of 2x800 MWs capacity.

The 4,000 MW TSTPP project was sanctioned as part of the AP States Reorganisation Act in 2014. In the first phase, the NTPC is executing 1600 MWs (2x800) for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stone on August 7, 2016. The Chief Minister had earlier inspected the Telangana power project on December 7, 2017 at Ramagundam.

The Chief Minister after his arrival at NTPC Ramagundam would inspect the progress of the power project and later interact with NTPC and TSGenco officials. After night halt at NTPC guest house, he would proceed to Kaleshwaram temple in Jayashankar-Bhupalapalli district on Sunday morning.

After offering prayers at the temple, the CM would inspect the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project works by visiting Kannepalli pump house, Medigadda barrage and other sites.
