A woman has died in hospital after she was attacked by her own dog on Thursday.
Rosemary O'Reilly was mauled to death by her Staffordshire bull terrier at her Wilton home in Sydney's southwest.
The 72-year-old suffered severe puncture wounds to her arms and legs and large cuts.

Derek, 74, was also attacked by the dog and suffered minor puncture wounds to his left arm
Ms O'Reilly's husband, Derek, 74, was also attacked by the dog and suffered minor puncture wounds to his left arm.
Police and paramedics were called to the home at about 1.30pm on Thursday.
Both were treated at the scene and taken to Liverpool Hospital where Ms O'Reilly's condition got worse and she died.
Mr O'Reilly was discharged from hospital.
NSW Police said the dog responsible for the attack was a staffy cross Rhodesian ridgeback.
Wollondilly Council Rangers seized the dog as investigations continue.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
