COIMBATORE: On the penultimate day of campaigning for the
Sulur bypoll,
DMK president M K Stalin made a strong pitch to woo voters from the AIADMK, reiterating his decision to order a probe into late chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s death. “Those behind the death of
Jayalalithaa will be sent to jail. I will not let the issue lay buried,” he said on Thursday.
Stalin said many AIADMK workers had told him they would vote for the DMK this time.
Meanwhile, minister D Jayakumar reiterated that reports about DMK holding talks with BJP for a post-poll alliance were true. “If it is not true, he can say so directly, but instead he has only said he will leave politics if it is proved,’’ he said.
