Calm Island Creates ESL Advisory Board to Enhance Program for English Language Learners

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif., May 17, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Calm Island Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce its newly formed ESL Advisory Board as part of the company's continuous efforts to enhance its literacy program for English Language Learners (ELL).  

The ESL Advisory Board is comprised of five highly respected, leading scholars who serve as trusted advisors with a diverse range of expertise. The advisory board includes:

• Christina M. Cassano, Ed.D., Salem State University
• Dina Castro, M.P.H., Ph.D., University of North Texas

• Yuuko Uchikoshi Tonkovich, Ed.D., University of California, Davis

Calm Island's ESL Advisory Board held its first meetings on Monday, May 13, and Tuesday, May 14, in Dallas, Texas to provide insight and analysis on the current Badanamu learning programs, Bada Rhyme and Bada Genius. The advisory board plans to meet again this September and in May 2020 to further evaluate the Badanamu programs.
