3 teenage boys go missing in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: City police on Thursday reported three cases of missing persons, including that of a deaf and speech-impaired boy. They went missing from Navrangpura, Vadaj and Vastrapur areas of the city.
In the first case, a 14-year-old boy, who was deaf and speech-impaired, went missing on Monday. Complainant Pankaj Dave, rector of Deaf and Mute School on Ashram Road, said that the boy was admitted to the school on May 9 and used to live in the hostel. "On Monday, he went to have his lunch with five other children but did not return for long. When the authorities of the school came to learn of his absence, they tried to search him in nearby areas but could not find him," said the FIR filed with Navrangpura police.
In another case, a 16-year-old boy from Vadaj went missing after he had gone out on Tuesday with his friend.

According to the complaint filed by a Vadaj resident, Ritesh Panchal, his son, Nitya, who recently appeared in class-12 board exams, had gone out with his friend on Tuesday. When Panchal's wife called up Nitya in the evening, he told her that he was riding a bike and was not able to talk. Later in the night when she called him again, his phone was switched off. As he did not return for two days, Panchal filed a complaint with Vadaj police on Thursday.
In the third case, a 16-year-old boy, Amit Sharki from Vastrapur was reported missing since May 10. According to the FIR filed by Sharki's relative, Ram Singh, a native of Nepal, Amit was at their home till May 10 afternoon, but went missing since evening.
