“The Motorola P50 could be a variant of the One Vision for the Chinese market”
Lenovo-owned Motorola recently unveiled its latest mid-range smartphone called the Motorola One Vision. The phone arrived as the company’s first handset featuring a punch-hole display and a 48-megapixel primary camera. Now, the brand has announced that it will be releasing a new device dubbed the Motorola P50 in its home market of China in June. While the vendor hasn’t confirmed, the Motorola One Vision is expected to be launched in the country as the Motorola P50.
The teaser image for the Motorola P50 shows that the phone will have a punch-hole selfie camera and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, which could be embedded in the Motorola logo. The design of the handset seems to be similar to the Motorola One Vision. Just like the new Motorola One series offering, the Motorola P50 is also expected to offer a dual primary camera setup at the rear, which will be placed vertically.
As for the Motorola One Vision, the phone offers a 6.3-inch display with full HD+ resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio. The handset is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Exynos 9609 processor, aided by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device supports microSD cards up to 512GB in size for further memory expansion. Software-wise, the phone boots vanilla Android 9 Pie, and comes with features like Digital Wellbeing and Google Assistant.
For imaging, the Motorola One Vision has a 48-megapixel primary camera with a variable aperture of f/1.7 to f/2.2, accompanied by a 5-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, the smartphone has a 25-megapixel shooter featuring an aperture of f/2.0. In terms of connectivity, the handset offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, NFC, GPS, and dual-SIM slots. A 3,500mAh battery with TurboPower fast charging technology completes the list of the specs.
