Lucknow University ex-student booked over fake marksheet

LUCKNOW: The controller of examination at Lucknow University on Thursday lodged an FIR against a former BSc student and her lawyer for cheating and forgery in connection with fake marksheets.
Police outpost in-charge Abhay Kumar Singh said the FIR was registered at Hussainganj against Geetika Lamba and advocate Shishir Srivastava. The latter had approached the university for the student's migration certificate on April 26 allegedly with fake marksheets.

Geetika had completed BSc in mathematics in 2004. Srivastava was asked to produce her marksheets for the years 2002, 2003 and 2004. Scrutiny revealed that the marksheets for second and third years were fake. Controller of examination AK Sharma lodged an FIR
"We are probing the matter. The student currently lives in Delhi while the lawyer is from Lucknow," said Singh.
