The visitors spent $2.84 billion in expenditure including a record amount in overnight expenditure of $2.496 billion, making it a successful year for tourism as Tourism 2020 target of $2.5 billion in overnight expenditure has been reached already.
The latest visitor surveys for the year ending December 2018 shows the ACT welcomed 3.0 million domestic and international overnight visitors for the period; 2.75 million domestic overnight and a record 252 international overnight visitors, alongside 2.2 million domestic day visitors making the year ending December 2018 very successful for visitation.
These visitors spent record combined total of $2.84 billion, including record amounts of expenditure for both domestic and international overnight visitors, making it a hugely successful year for all visitor expenditure in the ACT.
