D-St Buzz: Nifty Pharma underperforms dragged by Sun Pharma; Zee Ent, Tata Motors down 3% each

The Indian benchmark indices are trading in the red with Nifty down 12 points, trading at 11,145, while the Sensex shed 53 points and is trading at 37,061.

Nifty Pharma is down close to 2 percent dragged by Cadila Healthcare, Sun Pharma, Glenmark Pharma, Lupin and Piramal Enterprises.

Selective infra stocks are trading in the red with loses from Bharti Airtel, Adani Power, Interglobe Aviation, IRB Infra, Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Communications and Vodafone Idea.

Nifty Media is up 1 percent led by Zee Entertainment, Dish TV, INOX Leisure and PVR.  From the real estate space, the top gainers are Indiabulls Real Estate, Phoenix Mills, Unitech, Godrej Properties and DLF.

From the IT space, the top gainers are Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro.

India VIX is up 1.64 percent at 29.13 levels.

The top Nifty gainers included Zee Entertainment, Tata Motors, Adani Ports, Power Grid and Infosys while Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, YES Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra and Indiabulls Housing Finance are the top losers.

The most active stocks were Interglobe Aviation, Sun Pharma, Lupin, YES Bank and Tata Chemicals.

Titan Company, Merck, Atul, Tanla Solutions have hit new 52-week high on NSE.

167 stocks hit new 52-week low on NSE including YES Bank, Aban Offshore, Apollo Tyres, Arvind, Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation, Bharat Wire Ropes, Bharat Forge, Cadila Healthcare, Ceat, Dabur India, Vodafone Idea, Inox Wind, JK Tyre & Industries, Mahindra & Mahindra, Punj Lloyd, Rallis India and Sterlite Technologies among others.

The breadth of the market favoured the declines as 642 stocks advanced and 999 declined while 451 remained unchanged on the NSE. On the BSE, 794 stocks advanced, 1219 declined and 103 remained unchanged.
