Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi on Thursday declared the results Class 10 board exam. Students who have appeared in the Class 10 exam can check their results on jacresults.com. 70.77% students have passed the exam. Last year, the pass percent was 59.48%.

JAC chairman Arvind Singh announced the results today at the commission’s office in a press conference.

This year, boys outshone girls. Pass percentage of boys is 72.99 while pass percentage of girls is 68.67%. Five boys of Netarhat Residential School and five girls from Indira Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya have made it to the top- 10 merit list issued by Jharkhand board. A girl from Indira Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Hazaribagh is the topper with 99.2%. However, the board officials did not reveal the name in the press conference.

Put of the 4, 38,256 students who had appeared for the JAC 10th board result, 3,10,158 students passed making a total pass percentage of 70.77%.

Palamu has performed the best among all districts with 79.74 pass percent.

This year, 4.4 lakh students had appeared for the Jharkhand Board matric examination that was conducted from February 20 to March 9. JAC chairman Arvind Singh informed that altogether 4,41,274 students had appeared for the matric exams, around 10,000 students more than the previous year.

JAC had earlier declared the results of intermediate science and commerce exam 2019 on May 14. The intermediate result was a surprise for many as the council did not make any announcements before declaring the results.

This is the first time when all examination procedures, right from registration to the issuance of admit cards, have been done online,” JAC secretary Mahip Singh said. JAC officials hope that the helpline initiative would help improve the results in both the examinations. In 2018, JAC registered 59.1% pass percentage in matriculation and a mere 48.34% passed in intermediate (science).
