Liverpool monitor/cool interest interest in Maxi Gomez
The Daily Mail are getting themselves very confused this morning as they separately report that Liverpool are both monitoring Maxi Gomez and cooling their interest in the forward.

The Celta Vigo star has also attracted interest from West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, and has a £43million release clause.
But according to Estadio Deportivo, the 22-year-old would be able to leave for just £21.7million if Celta were relegated this season. The La Liga side currently sit three points above the relegation zone in La Liga with one game to go.
Barcelona fear Liverpool De Ligt bid
Barcelona are reportedly worried that Liverpool could swoop in and sign Matthijs de Ligt from under their noses claim Mundo Deportivo.

The Ajax captain has been heavily linked to the La Liga champions with his agent believed to have agreed a fee between the clubs.
However, Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Barcelona are still not confident about landing the 19-year-old with the Reds said to be still in the hunt for the Netherlands international.
AZ Alkmaar reject Liverpool friendly request
Reports in the Netherlands claim Liverpool are looking to play a warm-up friendly before next month’s Champions League Final, but have seen AZ Alkmaar reject a request to face the Reds.
With over two weeks to go until Jurgen Klopp’s side take on Tottenham Hotspur at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium, the Liverpool boss is worried about a lack of match practice and is keen to play a practice match.
According to Dutch daily the Noordhollands Dagblad, cited by Inside Futbol, the Reds approached AZ Alkmaar to play a friendly, but the Dutch side snubbed the opportunity.
Paris Saint-Germain interested in Roberto Firmino
Roberto Firmino is of interest to Paris Saint-Germain, but Liverpool have nothing to worry about.

BBC Sport’s David Ornstein claims Thomas Tuchel has eyes on the Brazilian but “it’s not something the Reds would even consider.”

Agent confirms Liverpool interest in Ugurcan Cakir
Liverpool are reportedly planning for life without Simon Mignolet after the agent of Ugurcan Cakir confirmed the Reds are interested in his client.
The 23-year-old has impressed for Trabzonspor this season and has recently earned a call-up to the Turkey national team.

Under contract until 2021, the shot-stopper is said to be available for just £4.5million.
And, speaking to Turkish publication Ajansspor, agent Erdi Kirkpinar has confirmed he has held talks with Anfield officials.
“Every team have scouts and some of them are following Ugurcan’s matches. Schalke haven’t made an official offer for him.
“I know Lille and Schalke are following him. Liverpool are also interested in him. Liverpool officials have talked with us, we had some contacts, but no official offer has come from them.”
Ryan Kent and Scott Brown team up for charity
Fresh from locking horns once again in last weekend’s Old Firm derby, Ryan Kent and Scott Brown have teamed up for charity just weeks after their on-pitch altercation.
The Liverpool loanee was banned retrospectively for lashing out at the Celtic skipper last month.

And now the duo have signed a fan’s painting of the incident, which will be auctioned off for Macmillan Cancer Care next month.
Spirit of Shankly and the Tottenham Hotspur’s Supporters Trust call for sponsors to return Champions League Final tickets
Spirit of Shankly and the Tottenham Hotspur’s Supporters Trust are calling on the main sponsors of the UEFA Champions League to return a proportion of the tickets they have received for next month’s final in Madrid.
Liverpool received 16,613 tickets for the game at Atletico Madrid’s 67,703-seater Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
With fans set to take up less than 25% of the overall capacity, the two groups have united to call for Nissan, Playstation, Gazprom, PepsiCo, Banco Santander, Mastercard, Heineken and Expedia Group to return some of their tickets so more fans can attend.

Liverpool scout Lyon trio
Let’s go straight in with some transfer gossip.
Liverpool reportedly had scouts watching as many as three players at Lyon’s 3-0 victory over Marseille on Sunday.
Alas, Nabil Fekir is not one of them.

According to Mercato365, the Reds were tracking Tanguy Ndombele, Houssem Aouar and Memphis Depay.
But will Jurgen Klopp move for any of the trio this summer during what is expected to be a quiet transfer window at Anfield?
