HYDERABAD: A 48-year-old tyre retreading worker was killed by his uncle due to business rivalry at
Bachupally on Wednesday.
The victim was,
Md Zakeer Hussain, 48, resident of
Sri Vani Nagar in
Ameenpur. Zakeer was running tyre retreading business on Miyapur-Bachupally road near
Singhal Towers. His uncle,
Md Subhani also runs the same business nearby.
During the past few months, Subhani developed differences with Zakeer Hussain as they were purchasing used tyres from same suppliers. On Wednesday, Subhani came to Zakeer’s shop and attacked him on the head with an iron rod without any provocation.
“Zakeer was rushed to a nearby hospital by the locals and he succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment on Wednesday night,” Bachupally inspector P Jagadeewar said. Police booked a murder case against Subhani and took him into custody on Thursday.
