GURUGRAM: A six-year-old boy suffered severe injuries after a speeding tractor hit him in Sohna market on Tuesday. The minor was visiting the market on Palwal road with his parents to buy vegetables. The tractor driver escaped but left his vehicle behind.
Ram Gopal, the boy’s father, in his complaint said that they spotted the tractor coming in full speed and took support on a tree to step aside. “But the tractor hit our son and his hand was caught between the vehicle and the tree. Three of his fingers were chopped off. He also sustained injuries on his body,” he said. The family has been living in Durga Colony for the past 4-5 years.

The boy was taken to a nearby government hospital from where he was referred to AIIMS, Delhi.
An FIR was registered against the driver under sections 279 (rash driving), 337 (endangering life) and 338 (grievous hurt) of the IPC at the Sohna City police station. Police have seized the tractor and are trying to trace its owner.
