The three-day trade show has assembled almost 800 exhibitors from 80 countries and regions worldwide.
Participants will look at different topics like customized tours, MICE industry, science and technology tourism, and business travel.
For the first time, Azerbaijan Tourism Board is at the event. Its campaign reveals the culture, cuisine, shopping experiences and health and wellness retreats of Azerbaijan. “Azerbaijan welcomes Chinese travelers to explore its rich cultural offerings and experience its ancient heritage,” said Florian Sengstschmid, chief executive of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board.
He said that the board plans collaboration with travel agents, service hotlines, and easy Chinese credit card and Alipay payments in Azerbaijan.
For Chinese citizens, Azerbaijan has launched a new electronic visa-on-arrival procedure. In 2018, the country welcomed over 12,000 Chinese tourists, a 12 percent increase from a year earlier.
