Now, the company is planning to add another member to the series going by the name– Redmi Note 7S. Manu Kumar Jain tweeted that “an all-new SUPER Redmi Note for all our India Mi fans is coming”. He mentioned that the phone will feature a 48MP camera, which will be unveiled in the country on May 20, 2019.
Jain also shared a picture of the earth taken from a high altitude with “Redmi Note 7S 48MP Dual Camera” watermark on the bottom. Previously, Xiaomi shared similar pictures taken from the Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 7 with 48MP camera.
It sent the phone to a height of more than 35 km where Redmi Note 7 withstood the temperatures of -58 degree centigrade, took some pictures and came back to the surface in working condition. Looks like Xiaomi did the same with the soon to be launched Redmi Note 7S.

Redmi did not share any other details regarding the upcoming Redmi smartphone. However, since it will be part of the Redmi Note 7 series, we can safely assume that it will have a similar design as the Redmi Note 7. It might also host a dual rear camera setup and a waterdrop style notch at the front.

Recently, Xiaomi took potshots at the OnePlus 7 with a teaser of Redmi K20. Jain called the upcoming flagship “Flagship Killer 2.0”. Notably, OnePlus launched its first smartphone in India with flagship killer tagline. It has been confirmed that the Redmi K20 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.
