“The ASUS ZenFone 6 flip up camera module gives it some great camera advantages that users will like”
ASUS will be unveiling its flagship ZenFone 6 series today, and thanks to leaks, it appears to be one of the very interesting launches happening this month, at least as far as design is concerned. Surprisingly, the ZenFone 6 design has been guarded very fiercely as no tipster was able to report anything concrete about the unique camera structure. Until yesterday, that is. However, a leaked YouTube video from a well-known tech YouTuber has revealed everything even more clearly today. Although the video has since been taken down, there have been reposts of the same video by other creators.
The video confirms the ZenFone 6 will have a flip-up camera module, similar to what we saw on the Galaxy A80 last month. Now, the exact details of its working are not clear right now, but it appears to be a motorised module that can be manually adjusted to different angles as per requirement. Also, the module is made up of a metal that makes the module lighter. It has dual cameras, an unconfirmed 48MP sensor, and a 13MP wide-angle lens.
The flip camera is said to come with some big advantages. For example, the front screen is completely left free of notches and has thin bezels all around, the rear camera can also capture more detailed front shots as well so users get crisper selfies. Moreover, the wide-angle lens can be used for the front and the rear and so on. The display is said to be 6.2-inches with full-HD+ resolution. The leaked video revealed that the screen-to-body ratio is 92 percent and the aspect ratio is 19.5:9. The handset will also not be skipping the 3.5mm jack. We expect to see the new flagship in black and blue/silver colour hues.
ASUS has mocked the OnePlus 7’s smaller battery in a teaser, confirming a 5,000mAh battery for its flagship. The launch event takes place at night 11:30pm IST and will be streamed live on ASUS India’s Twitter account.
