Actor Vicky Kaushal, who has been holidaying in New York, celebrated his birthday with friends. A beaming Vicky took to Instagram to share pictures from the celebration.

Thanking all for the good wishes coming his way, he wrote: “The smile on my face is because of the people you see in the reflection behind. Thank You guys. Also, feeling so damn blessed reading all your wonderful wishes. Thank You so much for this beautiful shower of love and blessings. Lots of love and a big hug to each one of you. And that btw, on the table, was my birthday cake!”

In the picture, Vicky is seat in a restaurant. On his table are cakes in the shape of a burger, a box full of French fries and a shake. A host of Bollywood celebrities congratulated him on his birthday. Names include Taapsee Pannu, Uri director Aditya Dhar, Anil Kapoor, Love Per Square Foot actor Angira Dhar, wink girl Priya Varrier, Yami Gautam, Bipasha Basu, Alia Bhatt and Elli Avram among others.

Vicky has been enjoying his time in New York, where he is on a break from work. He has reportedly taken a villa on rent, just outside New York. On Tuesday, he met actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh and clicked pictures as well. Vicky is clearly having a nice time; in one of pictures he shared, he is having a huge ice cream, while in another, he posed by a brightly coloured wall. Sharing the picture, he mentioned that the fictional character Ryu was his favourite.

On the work front, Vicky has been shooting for Shoojit Sircar’s Sardar Udham Singh. In April this year, the makers shared first-look pictures from the film, which show a stern-looking Vicky as Udham in an overcoat. The team was in St Petersburg for the shoot. Later in the year, Vicky has Takht, a Karan Johar directorial, which also stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
