PUNE: The state board scholarship results of standard V has remained the same as compared to last year, with 22.04% students qualifying, while the results of standard VIII scholarship have improved by
5.92%.
The results were announced by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination on Thursday. The results of this year are on an interim basis and the final results would be announced later considering the revaluation applications, Tukaram Supe, commissioner of the exam council, said.
The results were announced online on www.mscepune.in on Thursday afternoon. School could check the results of their students through the login ID provided to them.
Supe said that the results of standard VIII exam have been the best since the past three years. In 2017, 13.46% students qualified for the exam, while it was 12.57% last year. For this year, as many as 18.49 % students qualified for the scholarship, an improvement of over five per cent. The success rate of standard V exam has remained more or less the same with slight difference in each of the three years in comparison.
Supe said, "The success rate has improved despite the fact that the number of students appearing for the standard VIII scholarship has reduced this year."
Supe said that students willing to submit their papers for re-evaluation could do so between May 16 and 27 through the school on online format provided in the login ID. The applications for re-evaluation will not be considered in any other mode, said Supe. The applicants will be charged Rs50 for re-evaluation. The results of the re-evaluation will be notified to the respective schools within 30 days of application. Once all the applications are processed, the final result will be announced, said Supe.
