1985 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEC AMG Is An All-White, $57k Bruiser

An awesome 1985 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEC AMG with 10,000 miles on its odo has sold for $57,500 on eBay.

The 500 SEC is one of the most desirable S-Class models of the W126-generation and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 with 231 hp. Other V8-powered W126 Coupe models included the 380 SEC, 420 SEC, and the range-topping, 300+ HP 560 SEC.

Mated to the V8 of the 500 SEC is a four-speed automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels. AMG offered a host of modifications for the car and would even bore out the V8 to 5.4-liters, increasing power to 310 hp, while customers could also opt to have the standard automatic transmission replaced with a manual.

The following model hasn’t undergone any mechanical modifications but does feature a selection of AMG parts, including beefed-up front and rear bumpers and AMG Penta wheels painted in the same shade of white as the exterior. Additionally, the car sold with AMG springs and an authentic AMG steering wheel.

Much like the current S-Class, the W126 was outfitted with a multitude of impressive features such as power and heated seats, automatic self-belt extenders, and a cell phone in the center console which, in this example, allegedly still works.
