CHENNAI: BEd
students have urged the Teachers Recruitment Board to reschedule the
paper 1 of the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (
TNTET) as it clashes with their second-year exam.
On Wednesday, the
TRB announced that TNTET would be conducted on June 8 and 9.
As per the time table announced by the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University,
BEd students have to appear for the exams for curriculum and pedagogy studies on June 8. Besides, arrears and special education exams are also scheduled on that day.
TRB officials said they were reviewing the issue. "Eligibility for the paper is diploma in elementary education, not BEd. However, we will consider the demand of BEd students," an official told TOI.
