AHMEDABAD: The
Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Wednesday announced that the
results of its Class X examination, held in March, would be announced on May 21. Some 11.6 lakh
students had taken the exam. It is believed that the Class XII (general stream) results will also be announced in the last week of May.
According to GSHSEB officials, students and parents will be able to access the results on the url gseb.org, from 8am onwards on May 21. The result of the Sanskrit Prathama will also be released simultaneously. "Arrangements have been made so that students can collect their mark sheets on the same day, between 11am and 4pm. Principals of schools were told to collect the mark sheets from the district headquarters in the morning," a board official said.
The Class X results are generally announced after the Class XII (general stream) results, but the order has been reversed this year. It is believed that the vote counting for the Lok Sabha elections on May 23 is the reason for this.
