Beheaded body of woman found in canal in Unnao

KANPUR: A beheaded semi-naked body of a woman was found floating in a canal in Seemau village in Auras police area of Unnao district on Wednesday.
The additional superintendent of police along with Auras police and forensic experts reached the spot. The woman appeared to be 26-year-old, said the police adding that there were serious injury marks on woman’s right hand.
The police are enquiring about any case of missing woman in Unnao and adjoining districts.
“Going by the prima-facie circumstantial evidences, woman seems to be murdered two days ago. We are searching her missing head,” said additional superintendent of police Vinod Kumar.
A police official said that the body was recovered in a semi-nude condition and the almond colour ‘salwar’, besides two bangles and a sock in one foot were the only pieces of evidence recovered from the spot.
