An Australian Olympic shooter is facing a gun ban after unsecured weapons and ammunition were found in her home. 

Hayley Chapman competed alongside her father in the 25m pistol event in the 2012 Olympics in London and now does marketing for Shooting Australia.

The 27-year-old may have her firearms licence revoked following a police check at a home in Burnside, eastern Adelaide, on February 20.

She was reported for two counts of unsecured firearms, one count of unsecured ammunition and failing to notify a change of address. 

She is expected to appear in court for the matters, The Advertiser reported.

Shooting Australia have not yet confirmed whether a conviction would impact her role within the organisation.

Ms Chapman finished 34th in her event at the Olympic games, and hasn't qualified again since.

She and her father made history as the only father-daughter duo to have competed in the same Olympic Games representing Australia.
