PUNE: Pune Municipal Corporation Nagar Road and Vadgaonsheri Ward Officer Rajesh Bankar removed 93 illegal boards, banners and flexes from various areas like Nagar Road, Mudhwa bypass, Kharadi and Viman Nagar. The illegal items included 70 boards, 20 banners and three flexes. A team of four persons carried out the drive on Tuesday.

Bankar said, “We keep doing this kind of drive regularly. We had conducted a drive during the elections to keep a check on the Model Code of Conduct. There were a lot of illegal banners and posters on electric polls, so we deployed a team of four persons to remove all of them.”

Bankar informed that illegal boards were on bus stop as well as on the walls.
