
Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a block of flats in Gwynedd.
The fire service was called to West Parade in Criccieth at 10.33am, following reports that a second floor flat was "well alight".

Welsh Ambulance Service issues update
Thankfully nobody was injured.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said:
We were called today (May 16, 2019) at approximately 10.40am to reports of a fire at an address in Criccieth, Gwynedd. We responded with one rapid response vehicle and one emergency ambulance. No one required treatment.

Eyewitness praises firefighters' speed
An eyewitness has given us account of what’s happened so far:
I saw fire engines gong past and I went outside. Firefighters got into the building really fast.
I could see smoke coming out the back of the building - but no flames and there are a lot of people outside.
There was an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle there
I do think the speed and organisation of the firefighters stopped it spreading and they had it under control pretty quickly

Ambulance crews were at the scene says eyewitness
One ambulance and what appeared to be a rapid response vehicle was at the scene an eyewitness said. We have asked the Welsh Ambulance Service for an update.

Three fire engines at the scene
Two engines from Pwllheli and Harlech were sent after the fire service was called at 10.33am. Another from Abersoch was sent after to join them.

No details on any injuries
There are currently no details if anybody has been injured. Hopefully everybody got out okay.
