Grant Emans worked with his brother for over 10 years in the construction industry building residential properties, childcare centres and office fit outs before deciding that he wanted to make a sustainable change.

So he started his own business in the New South Wales region of Ulladulla that specialises in building tiny homes for those wanting to take on a more environmentally friendly and minimalist way of living.

Designer Eco Tiny Homes doesn't scrimp on style just because they're working with less space, but instead maximises on the interior by incorporating storage nooks and 'loft' sleeping arrangements in trendy colours.

The homes, which range in size from 3.6 metres to 7.2 metres, can be transported to any part of Australia and are registered like a regular caravan would be.

The Lifestyle Series in particular is their most popular design because it manages to fit three bedrooms inside a small space, with realestate.com.au dubbing it 'the mansion of tiny houses'. 

The 7200GB style, which comes in a pretty white tone, has all the major mod cons you would enjoy in a more sizeable property, but comes in a transportable container.

Mr Emans can also install a number of other shelves and storage boxes into the custom build for those seeking to hide their clothes and miscellaneous products.

There is an option to include an air conditioning as well, although this will bump up the initial starting fee of $88,250.

On average it takes just two to three months in the workshop to finish a tiny house but this can vary based on the extras you might be requesting.
