Mumbai: Summer Adoption Camp for rescued cats at Versova

MUMBAI: A special adoption drive to find forever homes for rescued cats and kittens will take place at the Cat Café Studio in Versova on May 18 and 19.
"We hope that this summer adoption camp not only helps people find their soulmate in feline form but also to get to know the cats, our history and what we do. We started of as this safe haven for cats in need at an office of a creative agency Zcyphher. When five cats became 15 and then 50, we realized that we needed a bigger space to not just accommodate more cats, but also to rescue more animals from the streets. Thus, came Cat Café Studio and then The Feline Foundation at Versova," said activist Mahek Parekh.
She further stated: ''The main goal of these adoption camps is to change people’s opinion about strays by encouraging them to adopt indies, rather than to buy breed animals. Because when you adopt, you help save a life.''
