Jodhpur boy Pukhraj gives up cattle grazing, does school proud

Pukhraj Berad
JODHPUR: Bhomaram, a contract farm labourer from Tiwari town in Jodhpur, never thought education would lead him to anywhere. He gave up studies after Class 10th, partly due to his poor financial condition. Following in the footsteps, his son Pukhraj Berad did the same, got into cattle grazing, instead of pursuing senior secondary education.

When the RBSE released Class 12th results on Wednesday, it was more than a celebration, not only for Pukhraj and his family, but also for Narsing Bhargava, the founder of a private school and the teachers there. Pukhraj secured 97.80% marks in science stream, 100 out of 100 in mathematics, 98 and 96 marks in chemistry and physics, respectively, while scoring the maximum in practicals.
Bhargava feels as overjoyed as Pukhraj's poor parents because his belief in the boy paid off. It is he who saw him one day grazing cattle.
