14th book in the Wimpy Kid series to be out soon

The title and book cover of the 14th book in author-illustrator Jeff Kinney’s best-selling series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid was revealed recently. The Wimpy Kid series has sold over 200 million copies in 62 languages world wide.
In the new book, titled Wimpy Kid: Wrecking Ball, 'an unexpected inheritance gives the Heffley family a chance to make major improvements to their home. But they soon find that construction isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. When things get rough, will the Heffleys be able to stay... or will they be forced to move?,' reads the book's blurb.

According to a report by Publishers Weekly, the cover and title reveal of the new book are part of a social media influencer campaign. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Wrecking Ball (Book 14) will be published in the UK by Puffin and is expected to be out on November 5, 2019.

Meanwhile, Kinney also wrote a spin-off book of the the popular series, titled Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid: Rowley Jefferson’s Journal which was released this year. As the title suggests, the book is told from Rowley’s point of view.
