HC whip on Meerut brothels

ALLAHABAD: Allahabad High Court has directed the additional chief secretary, home, UP to issue necessary instructions to the DM and SSP of Meerut to take immediate steps to stop operation of brothels, if any, in Meerut.
Hearing a PIL filed by one Sunil Choudhari that alleged running of brothels in Meerut and inaction on the part of district administration, a bench of Chief Justice Govind Mathur and Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamshery directed the additional chief secretary to obtain a complete report with regard to the steps taken and also about the objections relating to the allegations made in the PIL from DM, Meerut and place it on record of the litigation.
