"The region is under the influence of a western disturbance in the north. For the next two days too — May 16 and 17 — the weather might be similar as another western disturbance is expected in north India. More thundershowers are expected in the city. For a week or so, it will be comparatively nice,” said BP Yadav, head of IMD’s Regional Meteorological Centre.

In terms of air quality, the AQI on Tuesday improved to moderate at 153. “The air quality will improve and touch satisfactory by Wednesday. However, it may deteriorate to ‘poor’ by May 17,” said a SAFAR report. On Wednesday, too, partly cloudy sky is expected. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 37 and 22 degrees Celsius, respectively.
