MUMBAI: A week after Ajoy Mehta was appointed chief
secretary and Praveen Pardesi was made municipal commissioner, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday reshuffled high-ranking IPS officials.
Joint commissioner (Economic Offences), Deven Bharti, will head the anti-terrorism squad. It’s a promotion for Bharti who will get the rank of additional director general. In the past, Bharti has assisted in sensitive investigations such as the 26/11 terror probe and the J Dey murder case.

Ashutosh Dumre has been shifted to the anti-corruption bureau on promotion as additional director general. Atulchandra Kulkarni has been shifted to lead the CID, while additional DG (administration), Pragnya Sarwade, will be the managing director,
Maharashtra Police Housing and Welfare Corporation. Sarwade will be replaced by Sanjeev Singhal. Sunil Ramanand, IG, State Security Corporation has been promoted and posted as ADG (correctional services- prisons).
Vinit Agarwal has been promoted as ADG and will lead Maharashtra State Security Corporation, while Anup Kumar Singh, IG, has been posted as chief vigilance officer, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. Sukhvinder Singh, IG (Force-1), has been promoted and his post has been upgraded.

Transport Corporation DIG (vigilance), Manoj Lohiya, has been promoted as IG and his post has been upgraded. Joint commissioner (administration), Santosh Rastogi, has been shifted to the crime branch in place of Dumre, while Rajwardhan has been posted as joint CP (EOW) in place of Deven Bharti, and joint CP (Traffic), Amitesh Kumar, has been shifted to the state intelligence branch.
Deepak Pandey, managing director, police housing corporation has been appointed IG (correctional services). IG (VIP security), Krishna Prakash, has been appointed IG, administration. Nisar Tamboli, deputy commissioner (intelligence) has been posted in CIDCO as chief vigilance officer.
