ALLAHABAD:
Allahabad South assembly seat in
Allahabad parliamentary constituency witnessed the cent percent voting by the enrolled voters of the
transgender community in the polling held on Sunday.
Ironically, there was no participation of enrolled voters of the transgender community in casting their vote in
six assembly segments of the district including Handia, Karchana, Bara, Koraon, Phaphamau and Allahabad West.
Data released by district election office revealed that all the 115 enrolled voters of the transgender community in the Allahabad South constituency cast their franchise followed by Meja ( 15.38%), Soraon (15.38%) Phulpur ( 5.45%) , and Allahabad North (1.27%).

This was the first time when a member from transgender community had contested the poll in Allahabad parliamentary constituency to press the life of dignity.
