Two motorists were killed and another was seriously injured when an unidentified vehicle rammed against the motorcycle they were travelling on.

Prem, 23, of Odukathur in Anaicut, his friends Dharman, 22, and Nagaselvan, 22, were returning home after work on Tuesday evening. When they reached the reserved forest area of Kannigapuram near Kanvaimedu, a vehicle from the opposite direction hit them leaving them with severe injuries.

Onlookers informed the Pallikonda police. Before medical help could arrive, Dharman and Prem died due to their injuries.

Nagaselvan was rushed to the Government Vellore Medical College and Hospital in Adukkamparai in Vellore for treatment. The police are on the lookout for the vehicle which was involved in the accident.

The road was narrow without street lights as the locality comes under the reserved forest area, villagers said.
