Bhopal: Economic Offences Wing has served notices to the 19 staff members of Makhanlal Chaturvedi University in the irregularities in appointment. However, no notice has been served to the ex-vice chancellor BK Kuthiala to record the statement. EOW had registered an FIR into the complaint filed by the registrar of the University into the various irregularities on April 14.
The EOW had registered the case against the Kuthiala and 19 others into the appointment and other financial irregularities. Earlier the EOW had asked the registrar to present the appointment details of the faculty. It has sought to advertisements of the recruitments on the basis of which the appointments were made. It has also sought the note sheets concerned, joining orders and salary paid till date including other details of the appointments.
Now that the registrar had submitted the documents concerned- EOW has now called the persons concern to record their statements. EOW SP Arun Kumar Mishra said that the investigation is underway and shortly the then VC will be called for the statements.
