Posted to the We Love Marrickville Facebook page, the video shows Mr Parissis telling students they should 'w*nk yourself off at home, you and your f**king Jesus picture'.

The confrontation occurred during a gay rally at the university while 25 religious students were running a free food stall and held up 'It's okay to say no' signs.

The Christian students were mobbed by protesters during the gay marriage debate.

Footage shows the Greens candidate yelling at the students to 'shut the f**k up' before he aggressively tells them to 'go back to church'.

'I wish I could kick you in the f**king face,' Mr Parissis screams.

We Love Marrickville have since called the self-proclaimed 'mental-health activist' a 'hate preacher', and urges him to stand down.

'You do not represent the peace loving inclusive Marrickville/Tempe/Earlwood etc and you need to stand down immediately,' the page wrote to Facebook.

On his Greens profile, Mr Parissis says he believes in a 'better world' and hopes to be a 'progressive voice' for his area.

'Since 2015, I have been heavily involved in mental health activism, serving as a youth advocate for headspace Camperdown, whilst liaising with headspace nationally,' he wrote.

'In 2017, I served as the elected University of Sydney Queer Officer, at the forefront of the Safe Schools Campaign, and the YES campaign for marriage equality.'

On May 3 The Daily Telegraph revealed the 21-year-old used a private Twitter account to post offensive images and boast about stealing a plant from Kmart.

Mr Parissis posted a series of Facebook posts promoting the use of illegal drugs and also said to 'grab a bat and head to your local liberal office'.

He has since taken to Twitter to apologise for his past behaviour, but is yet to comment on the video coming to light.

'The Daily Telegraph has highlighted several social media posts from before I was a Greens member that appear to condone violence,' he wrote on Twitter on May 2.

'I apologise unreservedly for these comments and am extremely sorry for the offence they have caused.'

'I do not condone violence of any kind, and realise these comments are against the Greens principle of peace and non-violence. This principle is incredibly important to me.'
