Paris is a city attempting to take great leaps towards green, sustainable mobility. In 2017, the City Hall announced plans to completely eliminate diesel and gasoline vehicles within the city by 2030, in line with targets to ban the sale of new diesel cars across France by 2040. Mayor Anne Hidalgo has pledged to clean up the Parisian air by reducing the number of personal vehicles on the highly congested roads.
