Bhopal: Saroj Kumari Singh, wife of former chief minister Arjun Singh and mother of Congress leader Ajay Singh passed away early on Wednesday due a heart attack. Saroj Kumari, 84, passed away in her sleep and suffered cardiac arrest, doctors who checked on her in the morning told the family. She was admitted at the AIIMS for six weeks and had only returned home on April 25 Kumari was living with her daughter, Veena Singh, in Noida for over two years. She will be cremated at her hometown Churhat on Thursday.
The body will be flown to Rewa and later will be taken to village Sada Shivrajpur, the last rites will be performed in Churhat at 2.30 pm, informed Singh. The chief minister Kamal Nath and other party leaders offered condolences to the bereaved family.
