Officials can vote by postal ballot paper

Ludhiana: In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the election staff, photographers and other persons deputed with micro-observers, police personnel, officials and assistant returning officers (AROs) can cast their vote using postal ballot paper. District election officer-cum-deputy commissioner, Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, said that the forms 12/12A received during training of micro-observers and forms 12 and 12A received through ARO and forms 12 received from other districts, have been sent to concerned AROs.
He also informed that proper videography and security would be taken care of when the officials cast their votes. At the facilitation centre, the polling will be done from 10am to 5pm. The box containing postal ballots would then be brought to the office of district revenue officer on May 15, which would then be sealed in district treasury’s room.
