The Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test was conducted for diploma holders for admission into 13 branches of professional courses like engineering and pharmacy on April 30, said AP State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) Chairman Prof. S. Vijaya Raju, announcing the results here on Monday.
In all, 39,734 students applied for APECET this year, of which 37,749 appeared for the examination. JNTU-Anantapur conducted APECET in 132 centres. The pass percentage is 98.19, said JNTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Srinivasa Kumar.

In Biotechnology, Nagaboyina Venkata Appa Rao of Samalkot, East Godavari, secured the first rank. Kagitala Keshava Reddy of Visakhapatnam got the first rank in B.Sc Mathematics, Chillakuru Kalyan of Nellore district stood topper in Ceramic Technology.
Rangali Nidesh of Visakhapatnam bagged the first rank in Chemical Engineering and Sreeperambuduru Pranathi of Warangal stood top in Civil Engineering. Vinnakota Srivani of Warangal got the first rank in Computer Science Engineering and Md. Mubeen of Medchal (Telangana) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Khatri Jagadeesh of Mahaboobnagar stood top in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Veeravalli Sai Sitaram of West Godavari district in Instrumentation Engineering and Tapal Shaik Inthiyaz of Kadapa in Mechanical Engineering.
Ramisetty Sulochana of Nellore district secured the top rank in Pharmacy, Prof. Vijaya Raju said.
He said 524 seats were available in 27 university colleges and 13,897 seats in 397 private colleges in the State.
Unfilled seats of the first year in 2018 were 36,353, and the total number of seats available was 50,774.
Results are available at http://sche.ap.go.in/ECET. Candiates can download their rank cards from May 19, the Chairman said.
