The Nokia 8.1 was launched last year in India for Rs 26,999 for the 4GB variant whereas the higher end 6GB variant cost Rs 29,999. After the temporary price cut, both these variants can be purchased for Rs 21,999 and Rs 25,999.
To avail the discount, interested buyers have to use the promo code "FAN6000" to get a Rs 6,000 discount on the 4GB variant and "FAN4000" to get a Rs 4,000 off on the 6GB variant. These coupon codes can be used only on the Nokia Online Store till May 13.
Nokia is offering a discount of Rs 5,000 on the 4GB variant and Rs 3,000 on the 6GB variant till May 18 for offline customers.
To recall, the Nokia 8.1 was launched last year in December. It features a 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 * 2246 pixels. The smartphone has a premium glass and metal design and has a screen-to-body ratio of 81.5 per cent. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Octa-core processor powers the Nokia 8.1 with a peak clock rate of 2.2GHz. The SoC comes paired with 4GB/ 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which is further expandable via microSD up to 400GB.
It comes with a 3,500 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
For optics, the Nokia 8.1 comes with a dual camera setup comprising of a 12MP f/1.8 ZEISS sensor with 1.4-micron pixels, dual phase detection autofocus and OIS. The secondary sensor is a 13MP camera with fixed focus. For selfies, the device offers a 20MP AI front camera with an aperture of f/2.0.
The Nokia 8.1 boots on Android 9.0 which is based on the Android One program. With the price cut, it competes directly with the Poco F1 which also received a permanent price cut of Rs 2,000 and now retails for Rs 20,999.
