Cong contesting in Indore on lines of Sangh

Emphasis on micro management, special strategies for rural booths

Milind Mujumdar, Indore, Elections have been held in 21 constituencies of the state along with the polling in 8 constituencies of MP in the sixth phase. The focus of both Congress and BJP is now on 8 seats in Malwa-Nimar.

Priyanka Gandhi’s roadshows and meetings are held on Monday after the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rahul is also going to address several meetings in this zone, whereas Amit Shah, apart from Modi, is also going to campaign in this zone.

The previous elections have experienced that in the Lok Sabha elections, the voter voted on national issues, but on most seats in Malwa Nimar, Congress is focusing on local problems and problems of farmers rather than national issues.

The reason for this is that the BJP has not given ticket to five of its 7 MPs from Malwa-Nimar. For this reason new candidates have a problem of identity. This crisis remains in the last phase of the campaign.

Talking about the Indore parliamentary constituency called the business and financial capital of the state, Congress candidate Pankaj Sanghvi here is running the strategy of micro booth management on the lines of Sangh.

The entire family of Mr. Sanghvi is traditionally a Jana Sangi.His father late Jayanti Bhai Sanghvi was the president of Indore city Jan Sangh in the 70’s. The RSS and BJP functionaries have to come to get comfortable with him.

That is why he is well aware of the BJP’s style of contesting election. Chronicle also has come to know that many big leaders of BJP and their supporters are just campaigning for the Congress this time.

Different strategies for city and rural

Congress has created different strategies in the city and rural areas. In the Indore Municipal Corporation area where Pankaj Sanghvi’s personal and family team is working in booth management, his election managers in the rural areas have been forwarded to the party’s legislators.

The three legislators of Indore rural are the Congressman Two of these are Tulsi Silavat from Sanger and Jitu Patwari is the cabinet minister in the state government. Vishal Patel of DePalalpur is also heavily on the local BJP leaders in Dhan and Jan Bal.Congress has created different strategies in the city and rural areas.

Factionalism in BJP, Congress is united

Generally, factionalism is more common in Congress, but due to 15 years of state rule, BJP’s faction appears to be defeating Congress. Due to being a rebel candidate and the Congress government in the state, the factionalism in the Congress is getting lesser. Even the common man in the Congress has been feeling that this is a question of whether or not the party is in front of the party.
