Congress leader Mani Shakar Aiyar has justified his 2017 "neech aadmi" remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his article published in The Print. He further said that he was prophetic in his remark. Mani Shankar cites PM Modi's recent comments during election rallies and interviews regarding former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi and Balakot air strikes to justify his remark. "He (Modi) thumped his 56-inch chest and saw that heavy cloud cover was actually good for the Indian Air Force because Pakistani radar would not be able to penetrate thick black clouds," Aiyar said. He also said that Modi will, in any case, be ousted by the people of India on 23 May.
