A panicked mother has revealed how she got rid of slime in her two-year-old son's hair by treating it with coconut oil and a comb.
Nicolette Opperman, from Perth, was horrified to discover her two-year-old son Jordan had emptied a whole pot of glue-based slime into his hair at the Galaxy Slime Bar during the recent school holidays - and it was impossible to get out.
'I didn't know what to do when I saw it,' Nicole, 35, told FEMAIL.

A mother has revealed how she got rid of slime in her young son's hair by treating it with coconut oil and a comb (Jordan, her youngest, right, who got the slime stuck in his hair)

'I left my sons Caleb and Jordan together with the slime and suddenly heard Caleb say: "Mum, Jordan is putting the slime in his hair".
'By the time we all realised what he had done, Caleb started desperately trying to pull it out, saying "ouch, ouch" with every pull.'
Distraught, the mum-of-two took her boys home and turned to Facebook for advice as to how to get the slime out.

'I left my sons Caleb and Jordan together with the slime and suddenly heard Caleb say: "Mum, Jordan is putting the slime in his hair",' she said (both pictured at the slime bar)
'Help please... my son thought it would be a great idea to put slime in his hair,' Nicolette posted.
'How can I get it out without cutting his hair. A comb/brush is not doing the job.'
The mum was quickly met with a slew of solutions - from vinegar and Coca Cola to bicarb soda and olive oil.
However, the one that she tried and which worked was a jar of coconut oil, which Nicolette pulled through Caleb's hair with a comb.

The mother (pictured with her family) turned to Facebook to ask for a solution, saying she wasn't keen on cutting out her son's hair
'After 40 minutes and heaps of coconut oil with a regular comb, this was the result,' Nicolette told FEMAIL.
'He has such beautiful hair. I was desperate to save it, and he was such a trooper throughout.'
Other mums said coconut oil also works well for spray paint in hair, with one sharing her own tale.

The woman said she was met with a slew of solutions, from vinegar to Coca Cola and even bicarb soda - but in the end it was 40 minutes with coconut oil and a comb that helped to get it out (pictured during the combing)
'My daughter got hold of a spray can of paint one day and literally sprayed her brother's hair pink!,' she posted.
'I was not happy! I smothered his hair in olive oil (coconut will work too), let it sit and combed out with a lice comb. Takes forever but you will get it out.'
Another posted: 'Same thing happened here but whole head! Coconut oil smothered all over, as hot as shower that can handle and comb it out. Took me four hours.'
