“The OPPO F11 brings features from the F11 Pro to the sub-Rs 20k segment”

OPPO launched the much-anticipated F11 Pro just a couple of months ago and more recently the Avengers Limited Edition of the same. But now the company is gearing up to launch the toned-down variant called the OPPO F11. With a price tag of less than Rs 20k, the upcoming launch has what it takes to disrupt the mid-range segment in India and here’s why we say so.

An attractive tricolour-based gradient design

One of the highlights of the OPPO F11 Pro was its stunning gradient design. The smartphone was offered in two hues of Aurora Green and Thunder Black. The OPPO F11 also treads the same path and brings the attention-grabbing design at just Rs 17,990.

An immersive display with a waterdrop notch

The first thing that gets your attention about the OPPO F11 is the waterdrop notch. Just like its pricier sibling, the smartphone gets the same 6.5-inch display panel with full HD+ screen resolution. While the newer handset doesn’t come with a pop-up selfie camera, it does offer a rather impressive screen-to-body ratio of 90.7 percent. That means you would still be able to enjoy watching movies or reading eBooks in an immersive manner.

A powerful set of cameras to capture every moment

Speaking of the selfie camera, the OPPO F11 comes with the same sensor as the Pro variant. The 16MP shooter ensures a high level of details, while the aperture opening of f/2.0 makes sure that you get good selfies even in low light. Then there’s OPPO’s famed beautification mode which promises a natural and pleasing output. As far as videos are concerned, the smartphone can capture footage at 1080p resolution.

The company has also retained the dual rear camera module from the F11 Pro, which means you can get sharp output from the 48-megapixel f/1.79 shooter paired with a 5-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor. With the use of pixel binning, the smartphone also makes sure that you get crisp 12MP shots in dim environments. And if that’s not enough, then the phone comes with Ultra Night mode to offer better details in poorly-lit conditions. Of course, you get the other modes such as AI Ultra-clear Engine and Dazzle Color Mode in the camera app, just like the F11 Pro.

A spec sheet that can handle anything thrown at it

The OPPO F11 also gets the same spec sheet as the F11 Pro. The processing is taken care of by MediaTek’s Helio P70 SoC clocked at 2.1GHz. The processor is further backed by ARM Mali-G72 GPU and 6GB RAM. The onboard storage of the handset is 64GB or 128GB, depending on the variant you opt for.

In the software department, the phone boots Color OS 6 based on the Android 9 Pie.

A hefty battery with super fast charging

All the powerful internals come to a nought if the phone’s battery is not up to the mark. However, that’s not the case with the OPPO F11 as it comes with a slightly larger 4,020mAh battery as compared to the Pro version. The new launch also retains the 20W VOOC charging, which can juice up the device in no time. Add to this, the 12nm FinFET manufacturing process of the MediaTek Helio P70 which is quite battery efficient, and you are looking at a day’s worth of battery life and then some more.

It goes without saying that the OPPO F11 is simply the F11 Pro minus the pop-up selfie camera. And what makes the entire package even more enticing are a variety of offers. Reliance Jio subscribers would get benefits worth Rs 7,050 with the purchase of the F11, while users would get a cashback of up top Rs 3,400 on Paytm. So what are you waiting for? The F11 goes on sale starting May 15th across Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal and Paytm Mall.
