The complainant said her elder sister, Panju, 39, of Nilayur, had been undergoing treatment at the hospital for the last three months. On Sunday, Panju vomited following which she was admitted to the hospital.

The patient, who was in good health, lost consciousness after she was administered an injection. She was immediately rushed to the intensive care unit.

She said suddenly the authorities told her to take her sister to the Government Rajaji Hospital as they could not afford treatment at the private hospital.
