The wearables market in India is on the rise thanks to multiple manufacturers providing options within a budget. Many Chinese manufacturers in India are offering smartwatches and smart bands that are not only feature-rich but also a bang for the buck. We list out five such wearables that can be bought under Rs 3,000 in India.
Lenovo Ego
Lenovo recently unveiled the EGO in India for Rs 1,999. The EGO is the only smart wearable in the list that has around dual and looks like a watch. It has a rugged design and comes with a 20-day battery life. This is mainly due to a 1.6-inch anti-reflective monochrome display that saves a lot of power.
The body has a dedicated ‘Light’ button for illuminating the display whenever needed. The EGO offers features alerts for calls, messages, social media notifications, etc. when connected to the Lenovo Life app. It also has a remote camera feature which essentially lets a user click a photo on their smartphone’s camera with a single tap on the display. It also comes with a heart rate sensor for accurate readings during cycling, running among others.
Mi Band 3
Probably the most popular smart wearable currently in India, the Mi Band 3 is undoubtedly the one to beat in the sub-Rs 3,000 category. It comes with a 0.78-inch OLED touchscreen and has a curved 2.5D design with a control button for better tactile feedback.
It has a 110mAh Li-ion battery, which Xiaomi claims can offer a 20-day battery backup. The smart band has a water resistance of up to 50 meters. It comes with features like step tracking, heart-rate monitoring, sleep pattern analysing, calorie counting, etc. The device can be connected through MI Fit on smartphones running with Android 4.4 or iOS 9 and above.
Honor Band 4
The Honor Band 4 was launched in India earlier this year for Rs 2,599. It comes with a 0.95 Inch AMOLED touch screen 2.5D display. Navigating on the device can be done with the help of the home button and gestures. It comes with TruSleepTM and TruSeenTM 3.0 monitoring technology that tracks sleeping activities and heart rates respectively. It has a water-resistance of up to 50 meters and comes with a six-axis sensor for detecting swimming strokes, speed, distance covered among other things. The device is compatible with smartphones running on Android 4.4 or iOS 9.0 and later via Bluetooth 4.2. The Honor Band 4 comes with an active usage time of 14 days, and 20-days standby time.
Fastrack Reflex 2.0
The Fastrack Reflex 2.0 comes with a smaller battery life of just 10 days. It comes with features like tracking the number of steps, sleep tracking, distance travelled, calories burnt among other details. The smart band also shows message notifications and call alerts. The display doubles as a shutter for clicking photos using the smartphone. The Reflex 2.0 has water resistance up to 50 meters and is compatible with smartphones running on iOS 8.0 or Android 5.0 and above.
Noise ColorFit
The Noise ColorFit comes with a 0.96-inch Touch TFT colourful LCD with three watch faces. It has IP67 rated water resistance and can go up to 50 meters. The smart band can be connected to smartphones running on Android 4.4 or iOS 9 and above via the ‘Da Fit’ app. It has a 90 mAh battery with a very concise usage time of three days. The ColorFit comes with health features like heart rate monitoring, SPO2 monitoring, blood pressure tracking, step counting, sedentary reminder, sleep monitoring. It also shows alerts from calls and messages. The device can be bought for Rs 1,999.
