Heavenly small bites

If you happen to travel on the Sai Chowk route in Pimpri, you cannot miss the crowd at Slice of Heaven. The pizza and sandwich joint is one of the popular eateries in the neighbourhood and visitors don’t mind waiting in the queue to grab a bite. 

Founded by Naresh Menghani and his son Varun, the place was started 10 years ago. They specialise in pizzas like Veg Pizza, Veg Jain, Margherita Pizza, Paneer Delight, Combo Delight; sandwiches like Veg Cheese Sandwich, Chutney Sandwich, Chocolate Sandwich; grilled sandwiches like Cheesy Onion, Schezwan Paneer; pastas like Basil Tomato Spaghetti, Penne Arrabiata, Macaroni Magic; Cheese Corn Balls; and so on. 

Varun says, “Cheese Corn Balls, grilled sandwiches, pastas and Nachos are our hot selling items.” Bursting with flavours, the cheese in these dishes make them oh-so-heavenly!  The food items are competitively priced and range between Rs 40 and Rs 110, which Varun says is also their USP besides of course the lip-smacking taste. “We do not compromise on the taste and price. We have been selling good quality food at a competitive price. Customers’ feedback is very important for us. If they are happy, we are happy,” says Varun adding that they introduce a new item every April.  

Varun says that they were always interested in the food industry and that prompted them to start Slice of Heaven. “We wanted to start a Veg Pizza and Sandwich joint with the dishes having an Indianised taste.” That has worked for them. In the future, they plan to introduce non-veg items. 

In the last few years, Slice of Heaven has opened outlets in Pimple Saudagar and Hinjewadi, which goes to show that they are a popular eatery and their audience is growing.
